The Rainbow Lorikeets are having a wonderful feast on WhiteChapel’s Fig Tree in the back kitchen garden! “Food
mainly flowers, nectar and fruit. The lorikeet has a brush on the end of its tongue to help with sipping up nectar and pollen. Native shrubs such as Grevilleas attract them to suburban gardens.” I just think the Fig Tree has attracted them to WhiteChapel. They’re beautiful! It also attracts Grey Headed Flying Foxes at night and the possums! We’re very blessed to have such a variety of birds and animals at WhiteChapel.
